From a Maboneng start-up to a Legrand powerhouse
Concept Store was founded in May 2013 in Johannesburg's Maboneng Precinct. In 2015 we opened a 655 m² showroom on Fox Street, combining retail and exhibition space with professional offices — a place where specifiers could actually see and handle the product. We have since moved to Sandton, closer to the nodes where most of our projects are built.
Today we are one of the largest distributors of Legrand products in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our work spans luxury retail, corporate headquarters, hospitality, residential estates and shared workspace across South Africa, and now further afield into Zimbabwe, Malawi and Zambia.

Concept Store is founded
Opened in the Maboneng Precinct, Johannesburg, focused on power, lighting and security.
The Fox Street showroom opens
A 655 m² Maboneng space combining showroom, exhibition area and professional offices.
SALTO KS partnership
Cloud-based keyless access control joined the offering, and we became the official SALTO KS agent in Southern Africa.
The lighting side broadens
Radiant, Eurolux, Spazio, Bright Star Lighting and K.Light gave us decorative and architectural lighting alongside the Legrand electrical range.
Moved to Sandton
New premises at Unit A49, Ucanstore-Sandton, 21 Spartan Crescent, Eastgate Ext 21 — closer to the nodes where most of our projects are built.
